Valuable for you

You don’t have to come up with ideas, blog posts that are valuable for others – especially if you are working for free.

Something being valuable just for you is enough purpose to continue writing.

Many people assume they have to craft a valuable blog for others and for free – remember: you don’t owe the internet content. There is already abundance of content.

Fun is a pretty valuable thing. And you can create so much just by having fun.

Not everything has to have a purpose

I like writing blog posts and creating content for the internet and having fun creating something can be sufficient purpose for something to exist.

You don’t need the best deal to maximize the returns and profit.

Working because you enjoy can create something worthwhile.

If let’s say you want da megablog to exist, go and create one. Because many people won’t lift a finger if you don’t pay them. They say it’s wasting time, energy, effort but without these ingredients da megablog can’t exist.

There are people who make free software which is way harder than crafting a post, so you should know that there are people working for free to contribute the society.

But you can be one of them only if you like what you do.

Not everything has to have some sort of high purpose to exist, if you like doing something – do it, you won’t regret it because there are many perks besides money. Money is just one perk.

Doing da reps

You can create an enormous archives just by doing the reps. It’s not that hard to create content, but if your goal is to make money with content you’re most likely are going to fail.

As creating content and making money with content are two different things because the fact that you make content doesn’t mean you will make money making it.

Making money is hard and making money online is even harder since you really can’t make any money by your own – somebody has to make a transfer. Otherwise you will just work for free.

That’s why it’s important to have the deal in the first place. Working without any deals is just waste of time and I learned it the hard way.

It took me years to realize that the only thing I was missing was the deal.

So, if you’re something like me who wants a big archive online – you can do it by doing da reps.

Getting DA DEAL™

The problem with online content for making money is that most people create content without DA DEAL™.

I created content for YouTube, for TikTok, for X, for Facebook, for Medium, for Steemit – all to realize I was working without DA DEAL™.

People say work hard, work smart, but when you work online you need DA DEAL™.

Because if you only work without DA DEAL™, you will be wasting so much time and effort and will be working for free.

So, before you even start ‘working’ online, get DA DEAL™ first.

DA DEAL™ is simply a way to get income without relying on DA DONATIONS™ or DA TIP JAR™.

Only handful of people online are actually generous, most are not.

Imagine building a YouTube channel, and you don’t qualify for DA DEAL™. That would be so upsetting.

So to sum it up – never work without DA DEAL™, because working alone won’t produce you any gains.

Better than good

Capitalism is highly competitive environment and in many businesses it’s not enough to be good.

The best pianist in Lithuania went to Moscow and there was 200 like him.

The internet is highly competitive, it’s not that hard to get views, likes, comments, but all the hardness becomes when you want to pay bills by creating.

And you might be good, but not good enough.

You could also create content just to create, but that would just be a waste of effort.

Today creating a few blog posts won’t earn you anything. And creating content for profit, or even fun, is hard tiresome work.

And sometimes I think that I am doing free unpaid labor rather than making a business or some serious money. But since I don’t have anything else to do – I can do it.

Most people would have given up by now, but I keep going. You know – working for free doesn’t make any sense in capitalism.

So, if you are working alone as I am – you really can’t compete with full teams, companies that have advertising budgets even when you’re good.

Don’t waste time blogging

I blogged online for 16 years and I made donation money and generally broke even.

So the problem isn’t the fact that you can’t blog – you can.

The reality is that most bloggers blogs are not monetized from day 1. And donations, tip jars are lousy ways of making money because most people are indifferent and they won’t support you.

So the good way of making money is getting ads from day 1, so that your visitors got used to the blog with ads, don’t say them: I like blogging that’s why I blog and then ask for support.

You can write a blog because you like it, but most people these days don’t waste time blogging because they like it. Blogging has evolved and it is a business.

Nobody would pay for hosting just to work on a blog for free, because you can blog on Facebook and pay nothing.

So the way to approach blogging for money is to get into ad program from day 1, then when you build some traffic introduce some affiliate link.

You don’t have to review every single item you don’t have on Amazon for affiliate marketing to be worthwhile.

But most problem people make is they post about their lives, nobody is searching for you online unless you’re some celebrity.

You can’t monetize your personal life with ads because nobody would bid on your posts or the ads would be very low paying.

I’m not saying you can’t monetize personal stuff, but it has to be an angle rather than the fact that you ate a cookie.

Many people waste years writing about their lives and wondering why their ‘business blog’ doesn’t boom.

Writing about your life is such a waste of effort. I know it because I did it, the problem isn’t the fact that you have interesting thoughts and ideas, but the fact that majority of people don’t know that you exist.

The other fact it that most people’s content isn’t competitive and compelling.

If you want to rank #1 on Google you need to have the best article for a search term, that’s it.

So instead of doing random articles and hoping they will rank, go to Google in incognito mode, and actually see what is written and consider if you can make a better article.

You see if you write articles, that are not searched for, people just won’t find you via Google and other search engines.

When you don’t have an audience search is crucial. Back in the day blogging wasn’t competitive because the web was small, today the web is HUGE and it’s getting HUGER.

So to sum it up: monetize with ADS from day 1, add affiliate later, don’t write about personal life and you title should be the EXACT phrase people search for and write helpful content that solves a problem, or entertains, then later someday when you have 1000000 email subs you can write whatever the hell you want, because you will have an actual audience.

Content And Distribution

Creating content is very easy, and it doesn’t have to be good content to get views.

The problem for most people is that they CAN create content, but they can’t distribute it.

Elon Musk can post a “.” on x.com and it gets 100 million views on that single dot, but when you post a “.” you get just 10 views.

So there’s a fundamental flaw in the algorithms where they promote those who already have reach.

Content doesn’t equal distribution.

The algorithms on YouTube, X, TikTok, Facebook won’t give 100000000000000000000000 views for an account with 10 followers, the web doesn’t just work that way.

And you can drop masterpieces into the void.

So it makes sense to boost post if you want to distribute it beyond your 10 followers.

Nothing is going to happen if you just keep posting for the same 10-20 followers.

Sure you could grow organically but it will take years, not minutes because many people are trying to ‘grow’ on the same platform and are competing for the same attention.

Let’s say Facebook, it does not care if you post for fun, or try to build a business or you post a status update.

There’s the same problem on YouTube, if let’s say people type some search and see video 1M views vs 10 views, they are going to click the 1M views video, not 10 views video, and the thumb does not matter most of the time.

So, if you want to actually grow on Facebook or YouTube you need to buy attention on your content rather than just posting into the void. Spending money on posts to build an initial audience can save you years of posting.

Today the platforms are made to promote content, and I noticed there are views when you pay or have lots of followers, but not when you don’t pay and have 10 followers.

It’s not about the individual post quality.

Are Donations A Viable Business Model

16 years of making content I was monetized just with donations, and to my surprise it did work to some extent, but the sheer amount of work it required to do was just ridiculous.

Over 16 years I just made around 2000€ from donations, these included direct deposit, not PayPal.

So to have a rough estimate on traffic and donations. It would approximately take 100000 YouTube views for 1 donation of 5-10€. You would make 1000€ from ads alone if your channel was monetized and you’d follow the guidelines, unfortunately my channel was not monetized.

The problem is that most people consuming your content are indifferent. They might enjoy your show and all that, but only handful of people will actually donate any money.

I didn’t get any grants to advertise my IBAN for free, so I relied on organic traffic from the content I created.

Donations could work if you’d be Wikipedia and push donations hard but if you just leave an IBAN or PayPal link on the sidebar of your blog, you wouldn’t get much because most people are in and out as soon as they milk you.
